Veranstaltungsbeschreibung: The lumbung members of documenta fifteen are collectives and organizations that have been invited by ruangrupa and the Artistic Team of documenta to join them in developing a long-term process of sharing resources and cultivating friendship. They reflect on community work and what gathering and workshops as an artistic practice could be. Against this backdrop, we will discuss the history of documenta, collective artistic practices, kindship, and challenging authorship within these artistic positions. An artist questioning artistic authorship from the early 20th century on was Marcel Duchamp. Together with the artistic projects of d15 we will analyze artistic practices of Duchamp. The seminar will take place in collaboration with a student group of Kassel University / documenta institute. We will gather in Kassel for documenta fifteen and will have discussions at Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, in the experimental Marcel Duchamp retrospective.
