Veranstaltungsbeschreibung: In the era of constant noise and distraction, the art of attentive listening has taken a back seat. The "Exploring Soundscapes" seminar offers a unique opportunity to delve into the world of sound, music, and auditory experiences. Through curated listening sessions on specific themes and discussions, this seminar aims to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the diverse sonic environments that surround us. Small groups of students (or individuals, depending on seminar size) will collaborate (or individually solve) to curate their own 1-hour radio show on Radio Angrezi centered around one of the listening themes. They will select and contextualize sound pieces, explore relevant concepts, and possibly invite guest speakers to enhance the discussion. (Alternative approaches can also be explored, TBD.) Note that there is a limit on participants due to the room size and radio shows that can be presented. This may lead to a lottery, more on this during the first meeting.
