Veranstaltungsbeschreibung: The starting point for a meaningful (aesthetic) experience is a mindful and analytical perception.

This class focuses on perception and experience: How do we perceive images and sounds, space and time, data and narratives? What makes a direct or technologically mediated experience meaningful? How can we stimulate our perception in playful, poetic and/or critical ways? What are the physical and psychological thresholds of our perception, and how can we test them? What is the role of technology in relation to these questions? How do we build on this knowledge to create and design experiences?

To create an aesthetic experience, we must anticipate, which requires our own finely tuned perception. Our own perception will be the starting point for the class: We will begin with a series of exercises to test our own senses, followed by the development of a personal sensory experience that will be presented/shared at the end of the semester.

# Organizational information:
The class requires constant and active participation.
The class is limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
The first meeting will be on October 24th at 10:00 in room 2.11.100.
