Veranstaltungsbeschreibung: for Master (M.Sc., M.A.) Digital Media, and others Workshop, 2 SWS, 4 CP five days: 20 to 24 July 2020, all day (from 10 to 17 hours including breaks), at the University, building MZH, room 1260 – module: Topics in Digital Media (or Media Informatics) Andeutung zum Inhalt Die aktuelle Aufregung um die Neuronalen Netze möchte ich in historischer, gestalterischer und mathematischer Perspektive aufgreifen, um Aufklärung gegen einen neu entfachten Mythos zu setzen. Wir werden die Anfänge der sog. Künstlichen Intelligenz berühren und ihren aktuell ausgebrochenen "Hoch-Sommer". I will take up the current hype surrounding Neural Networks. Our perspective will be from history, design, and mathematics. I want to confront the current newly ignited myth of Neural Networks by rational thinking. We will look at the beginnings of so-called Artificial Intelligence, as well as the new break-out of a high summer.
