Workshop, 2 SWS, 4 CP five days: 27 to 31 July 2020, all day (from 10 to 17 hours including breaks), at the University, building MZH, room 1260 – module: Topics in Digital Media Indication of the contents When the term "generative" appeared in contexts of aesthetics, art, and design (in 1965), it was because computers were now ready to generate images of aesthetic qualities that could be presented by art galleries. More than fifty years later, nobody is surprised to see images of algorithmic origin being sold for crazy amounts of money. The workshop will take up the challenge of writing good and beautiful code (in Processing) for interesting artistic results. A quick brush-up of Processing will be included.
