Veranstaltungsbeschreibung: We will divide our time between (1) learning to do Creative Coding hands-on with the development environment Processing. (2) learning about theories of posthumanism. (3) Developing an understanding of the relationship between the PRACTICE of Creative Coding and the THEORY of posthumanism. Some major posthumanism theories: Donna Haraway, A Manifesto for Cyborgs Rosi Braidotti, The Posthuman Francesca Ferrando, Philosophical Posthumanism Katherine Hayles, How We Become Posthuman Wendy Chun, Programmed Visions Jaron Lanier, Phenotropic Programming Alan Sondheim, Codeworks We will also look at writing code for games/virtual worlds with Unity, and writing code for Deep Learning neural nets with TensorFlow.
